How Long Does It Take to Build a Custom Home?
Once the regional building department approves the plans and issues the necessary permits, the build time on a custom home can be four, five months, or more. The design, size, and complexity of your custom home, along with the location, will play a significant part in determining the build time. The total time from start to finish can be seven months or more once you add the time it takes to complete the design, budgeting, and permit process.
